Details On How Daniel Bryan Will Be Tested In The Future
As we previously reported, Daniel Bryan was cleared to return to in-ring competition by WWE’s Dr. Joseph Maroon. Bryan asked what he had to do to get cleared and Maroon gave him the names of top concussion experts in the country (Robert Cantu, Javier Cárdenas and Jeffrey Kutcher). When they cleared him, Maroon did as well. Bryan was originally set to be tested by Maroon next week, but the test was moved up so WWE could begin building to Wrestlemania.
The Wrestling Observer (via Wrestling Inc) reports that the script for Smackdown was actually rewritten once Bryan was cleared. It is now believed that Bryan will team with Shane McMahon against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. If Bryan hadn’t been cleared, the plan was either for Shane to find a new partner or for a triple threat between McMahon, Zayn and Owens with Bryan as the guest referee.
Bryan’s clearance also means he will be subject to stricter testing than the other WWE superstars. Part of his agreement is that he will go to WWE doctors after every match for Impact testing and a neuropsychlogical evaluation. This will continue until WWE is comfortable with his health.
