Seth Rollins Royal Rumble

UPDATED: WWE.com has confirmed after the events of Raw that Seth Rollins has chosen Brock Lesnar as his opponent for WrestleMania.

The write-up reads, “Less than 24 hours after Rollins’ Royal Rumble victory, COO Triple H told the determined Superstar to choose which World Champion he would face by the end of that night’s episode of Monday Night Raw. However, when The Architect stormed the ring to ignite a brawl with Lesnar later that evening, the unrelenting titleholder leveled him with six F-5s, the last of which came after Rollins screamed “Is that all you got?!” in the champion’s direction.

Despite this onslaught, however, WWE.com soon learned that Rollins would indeed choose Lesnar as his opponent and dare to journey into the realm of The Beast at The Showcase of the Immortals in search of his first Universal Title.”

ORIGINAL: WWE has made the first match for WrestleMania 35 official, with another seemingly set. Monday’s episode of Raw saw Royal Rumble winners Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins choose their opponents. Lynch will face Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey, while Rollins appears set to challenge Universal Champion Brock Lesnar. Both challengers confronted their opponents on the episode.

Rollins did not actually officially name Lesnar as his opponent, but that certainly appears to be the direction after Lesnar delivered a trio of F5s to Rollins. The match will likely be made official next week.

WrestleMania 35 takes place on April 7th in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
