New Rumors Claim That Dean Ambrose May Not Be Leaving WWE
– The yo-yo of Dean Ambrose’s WWE future continues this week. New rumors are flying around backstage that Ambrose may be staying with the company. Bryan Alvarez mentioned the new rumors on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio.
Alvarez noted that “the rumor this weekend was that he [Ambrose] was probably staying. I’m not reporting that Dean Ambrose is not leaving, I’m telling you what people were talking about this weekend. There was a belief that he is not leaving now.” He added, “It is interesting that if he’s [not] staying, this is awfully wierd to put them back together and do a Shield reunion, and put him in a prominent position at Fastlane in a six-man. He may not be leaving because they started pushing him when he threatened to go.”
Ambrose’s future with the company has been the subject of heavy speculation since WWE announced in January that he would not be resigning when his contract expires in April. The return of Roman Reigns, and a report that Reigns said he’d “take care of” the situation, has thrown that in flux.
