On the latest episode of Kliq This, Kevin Nash talked about recent praise from AEW World Champion MJF. MJF said during his appearance on Shut Up and Wrestle that Nash and Scott Hall don’t get enough credit for making pro wrestling healthier for talent in terms of their living situations and contracts. You can check out some highlights below:
On MJF:
“I think he knows how much I appreciate him, you know? We’ve had conversations. I think he’s super talented… I remember when he did the one where he was telling f***ing Tony Khan, ‘F**king fire me, fire me Tony, f**king fire me.’ They cut his mic off.
“I remember I was watching that, and I was watching it live. And I just thought like — to the point where I’m like, ‘Man, he must want to go to f**king New York.’ And I went, ‘Oh f**k, man, you got me.’”
On MJF’s Comments & If That Will Be His Legacy:
“That’s kind… Well, it sure as s**t won’t be the s**t I did of the top rope. I’ve said it from day one. When you break in man, it’s like — why is it they call it the business, but when you treat it like one, you’re a motherf**ker? I’ve never went to work anywhere in my life and the bottom line wasn’t about getting paid. I want to get paid.”
