Louis Smolka Out of UFC 264 Bout, Kris Moutinho Steps In

Louis Smolka is out of his scheduled fight with Sean O’Malley at UFC 264 this weekend, with a replacement fighter already found. ESPN has confirmed with Smolka’s manager Jason House that the fighter had to pull out of the fight to to a staph infection.

In Smolka’s place will be Kris Moutinho, as Moutinho’s manager has confirmed to the outlet. Moutinho is making his UFC debut with the fight, which takes place on the July 10th show from Las Vegas. Smolka vs. O’Malley was set to open the main card of the show, which is headlined by the rubber match between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier.
