Shingo Takagi Has Kota Ibushi, Kenny Omega & Katsuhiko Nakajima On His Wishlist
Shingo Takagi is competing for the NEVER Openweight Champion this weekend and if he wins the title, he has Kota Ibushi and Kenny Omega among his wishlist of opponents. Takagi will face Tama Tonga for the title at NJPW Fighting Spirit Unleashed and spoke with Tokyo Sports for a new interview promoting the show. During the interview, he said he was interested in facing Omega, Ibushi, and Katsuhiko Nakajima should he prove victorious. You can see a couple of highlights below:
On a match with Ibushi: “His record is one win and one loss [against me], and the match at Tokyo Dome in July 2021 was postponed. He also said [on Twitter] that it’s not zero possibility.”
On Omega: “`I heard through a person involved that Kenny said, ‘I’d like to work with Takagi.’ I myself want to work with Kenny. He’s strong.”
On Nakajima: “That atmosphere was the best I’ve had this year in all the matches I’ve been in. Even though I won, I only won once, and my singles record is one win, two losses.”
