Gunther Is Proud of What He’s Been Able to Do in WWE

– Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp spoke to top World Heavyweight title contender Gunther ahead of tonight’s WWE SummerSlam. During the interview, Gunther explained how he’s proud of not having to change his style or go through the WWE developmental system. He stated the following:

“Doing all of that doing it the way I wanted to. I never wanted to go into any developmental system with the idea of ‘change everything.’ I always had a pretty good idea of what I want to be and who I want to be. Just sticking with that and fighting the battles along the way to keep it that way. To get through that, to here, that’s what makes me most proud.”

Gunther challenges World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest for the title later tonight at WWE SummerSlam 2024. The event is being held at Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio. It will be broadcast live on Peacock.
