– Randy Orton could not dethrone The Ring General, Gunther, at WWE Bash in Berlin. Orton failed in his bid to become a 15-time World Champion at today’s event in Berlin, Germany.

During a grueling match, Orton managed to kick out of a Powerbomb from Gunther, and Gunther kicked out of an RKO. Orton appeared to have the upperhand after putting Gunther through a table on the outside. However, the World Heavyweight Champion then countered another RKO attempt, turning it into the Sleeper Hold.

The Ring general was relentless with his submission attempt. Eventually, Orton passed out, and referee Charles Robinson called for the bell, granting Gunther the victory. The match marks Gunther’s first televised title defense.

After the match, both men showed each other mutual respect and shook hands. It looks like they’ve put their issues resulting from the controversial finish in their match at WWE King and Queen of the Ring to bed. Unlike that premium live event, The Ring General pulled off a decisive win over Orton at today’s premium live event.
