WWE Speed Titles To Be Defended On NXT Going Forward

WWE NXT general manager Ava announced during NXT Heatwave today that the WWE Speed Championships will now be defended as part of NXT.

A tournament featuring a RAW star, a Smackdown star, a TNA star, a NXT star, and a AAA star will begin on September 2nd with the winner facing the current WWE Speed Women’s Champion, Sol Ruca, at NXT No Mercy.

El Grande Americano is currently the WWE Speed Men’s Champion.

Speed matches have three minute time limits, with five minute time limits for title matches.

Speed has been dark for awhile now after initially streaming on X/Twitter.
