Taya Valkyrie Credits Tony Khan as a Disruptor, Explains How AEW Is Grittier and Fearless in Taking Risks

During a recent appearance on Women’s Wrestling Talk, AEW and ROH wrestler Taya Valkyrie discussed AEW and Tony Khan, explaining that AEW is grittier and unafraid of taking risks. She also credited Tony Khan as being a disruptor.
Taya Valkyrie stated (via Fightful), “Here’s the thing: AEW to me is the disruptor. They came in and shook the cage a little bit, making people see pro wrestling from a different perspective. They brought in talent who were thriving internationally, in the Indies, and from around the world.” She continued, “We’re grittier, we’re not afraid to take risks, and Tony (Khan) isn’t afraid to disrupt. That makes wrestling fun and keeps it interesting.”
Taya Valkyrie recently competed int he ROH Women’s Pure Title Tournament in August, losing to Queen Aminata at ROH Death Before Dishonor 2025.
