WWE star Austin Theory may be on the verge of a creative resurgence following a quiet few months, according to new backstage reports from WrestleVotes. Sources close to WWE have indicated that Theory continues to have a strong “internal support” and could soon return to television as part of a renewed push.

Reports initially suggested that Theory was being considered as the newest member of The Vision, comprising Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and Paul Heyman. He was reportedly set to debut ahead of Survivor Series: WarGames 2025. However, those creative plans shifted after Rollins suffered a long-term shoulder injury, forcing WWE to rework the stable’s direction and delaying Theory’s potential involvement.

Despite these creative changes, internal discussions regarding Theory’s comeback have apparently remained active. On X, WrestleVotes described WWE’s current stance on Theory.

“Sources indicate there are still voices within the company pushing to keep Austin Theory involved in creative plans, even after the recent shuffling caused by Seth Rollins’ injury.

“The idea of Theory joining The Vision was at least discussed, and he still has internal support moving forward to reappear on TV in a significant manner.”

Austin Theory has not appeared on WWE TV following his loss to El Grande Americano on Main Event on July 12. Soon after, his A-Town Down Under partner, Grayson Waller, confirmed that Theory was injured, officially ending their tag team partnership. His name was briefly removed from WWE’s internal roster, leading to speculation about his status. It has since been confirmed that Theory remains under contract and has been listed internally in the “injured” section.
