WWE Hall of Famer Lex Luger shared a positive update with regards to his physical mobility in time for the holiday season. The former WCW World Heavyweight Champion shared a photo and message on his social media earlier today, noting his progress (see below).
The picture shows Luger standing on his own and getting the Christmas tree ready in his home. He wrote in the caption, “A picture is worth a thousand words!! Trimming our tree. Haven’t been able to do this for almost 2 decades. Thanks to my good friend @RealDDP @DDPYoga. Thank you, Jesus!!!”
As noted, Luger has been working with fellow WWE Hall of Famer and longtime friend, Diamond Dallas Page (DDP), to help improve his mobility and overall quality of life. Luger suffered a spinal stroke in 2007 that left him partially paralyzed, and he’s been confined to a wheelchair ever since. He is able to sometimes stand and use his legs, but on a very limited basis.
Lex Luger was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame earlier this year as part of the Class of 2025. He was able to walk unassisted to the podium for his Hall of Fame acceptance speech.
DDP personally inducted Lex Luger into this year’s Hall of Fame Class.
