Full Details & Release Date Announced For WWE 2K26

The full details have been revealed (including the release date) for WWE 2K26, which features CM Punk as the cover star. 2K Games announced that the 2026 iteration of the game arrives on March 13th on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. As noted, the current World Heavyweight Champion is on the cover of that edition

The announcement also confirmed that the previously-revealed special editions — the King Of Kings Edition, Attitude Era Edition, and Monday Night Wars Edition — will release seven days earlier on March 6th.

Punk will be the Showcase Star of WWE 2K26, which like previous versions did for their Showcase stars will relive key moments of his career. The announcement boasts that the game has the biggest roster yet with 400+ playable characters and introduces four new match types in I Quit, Inferno, Three Stages of Hell and Dumpster. There will be stackable tables, new usable objects and bigger environments to work in, with Intergender Matches available across core game modes.

The new game will also revamp the Reversals and Stamina system and feature the addition of Booker T and Wade Barrett to the commentary team. The announcement notes that the Creation Suite will now offer 200 save slots with a doubled image capacity in Community Creations, with enhancements to MyGM and touted “increased replay value” for the MyRISE mode. The Universe mode will feature the WWE Draft along with a new Universe Creation Wizard, Watch Show mode and more.

Finally, the Island will be back and available on all platforms, including PC for the first time.

As far as pricing goes, the Standard Edition will be available for $69.99. Pre-ordering the game gets you the Joe Hendry Pack which includes a playable Joe Hendry, a shirt cosmetic and more.

The King of Kings Edition runs $99.99 and includes the Standard Edition, Joe Hendry Pack, Ringside Pass Premium Season 1, and 32,500 VC, plus the King of Kings Pack which includes playable Triple H ‘98 and Stephanie McMahon ‘00 as well as a Triple H Taunt Emote for The Island.

The Attitude Era Edition will cost $129.99 and includes all King of Kings Edition content as well as the Ringside Pass Premium Seasons 1-4 and the Attitude Era Edition Pack featuring playable Superstars The Rock ‘99, Kane ‘98, and Chyna ‘97, plus MyFACTION EVO cards, the Raw is War ‘98 Arena, and The Island emotes.

And last, the Monday Night War Edition costs $149.99 and includes all Attitude Era Edition content, access to Ringside Pass Premium Seasons 1-6, and the Monday Night War Edition Pack which features playable Superstars Shawn Michaels DX, Macho Man Randy Savage ‘98, Rowdy Roddy Piper ‘98, the WCW Thunder ‘98 Arena, and a DDP emote for The Island. Monday Night War Edition also grants the WrestleMania 42 Pack, which includes the WrestleMania 42 Arena and three WrestleMania 42 Superstar Persona Cards.
