Killer Kross Captures World Championship At MLW Battle Riot VIII

Killer Kross is the new MLW World Champion, capturing the title in the titular match at MLW Battle Riot VIII. Thursday night’s special event saw the WWE alumnus and MLW star win the eighth annual Battle Riot match, therefore winning the World Championship. Kross defeated Bishop Dyer, Donovan Dijak, Hammerstone, and Matt Riddle in the end of the match in order to get the victory and win the championship.

This is the second year in a row that the MLW World Championship as on the line. Matt Riddle retained the title in last year’s Battle Riot.

The other competitors in the match were Mads Krule Krügger, Adam Brooks, Alan Angels, Anthony Greene, Ariel Dominguez, Austin Aries, Babathunder, Ben Bishop, Cha Cha Charlie, Cody Fluffman, Diego Hill, Doc Gallows, Don Gato, Festus, Ikuro Kwon, Jesus Rodriguez, Joe Coffey, Josh Bishop, Karl Anderson, KUSHIDA, LJ Cleary, Madman Fulton, Mark Coffey, Matthew Justice, Mr. Thomas, Onix The One, Paul London, Paul Walter Hauser, Ricky Martinez, Sidney Akeem, Simon Gotch, Stallion Rogers, Trevor Lee, and Wolfgang.

Krügger was the champion heading into the match but was assaulted and eliminated by CONTRA Unit before being dragged away. Krugger’s title reign ends at 138 days, having won it at MLW Fightland in September.
