David Finlay has arrived in AEW, making his official debut on this week’s AEW Dynamite to join forces with Gabe Kidd and Clark Connors. Wednesday night’s show saw Darby Allin and Orange Cassidy battle Kidd and Connors in a tag team grudge match. The seven minute-plus bout saw the babyfaces get the win as Allin took out Kidd at the ringside area, allowing Cassidy to pin Connors following an Orange Punch.

After the match, Finlay showed up and went after Cassidy and Allin. He took both men out with a shillelagh before working with Kidd and Connors to pile the two babyfaces together and pose over them. You can see highlights below.

Finlay’s NJPW contract expired late last month, and his final match for the company took place at The New Beginning USA 2026, where he defeated Fred Rosser. It had been reprted that Finlay had some contact with WWE, who were interested in him. He previously wrestled on AEW Dynamite in 2022 as part of the AEW and NJPW partnership, losing a bout to Hangman Page, and is a former two-time IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion.

After the match, Tony Khan announced that all three of The Dogs are All Elite as you can see below:
