Backstage Note on Ricky Saints’ NXT Future

On this week’s episode of WWE NXT, it was announced that Ricky Saints would take on Shiloh Hill next Tuesday night. Saints ambushed Hill during the later stages of the show. Despite that, fans believe that Saints’ call-up to the main roster is imminent, and it could happen as early as this Friday night on SmackDown.
Amid this, Bodyslam+ is reporting that sources indicate that WWE has held discussions about calling up Saints to the main roster. However, another source claimed that The CW wants to keep at least one established male veteran in NXT for the time being after losing out on so much talent in the past few months.
The developmental brand lost the services of Oba Femi, Je’Von Evans, and Trick Williams earlier this year. This week on RAW, it lost former North American Champion Ethan Page and will likely lose Joe Hendry next week. The former NXT Champion is set to host a concert next Monday.
Ricky Saints made his WWE NXT debut in February 2025 and has since gone on to hold the North American and NXT Championships. It will be interesting to see if he shows up on SmackDown this coming Friday or continues to stay with NXT for the time being.
