MJF Uses Cody Rhodes Tweet To Fire Back at Shot From Val Venis

Val Venis tried to take a vague shot at MJF on social media, only to get a classic and brutal Cody Rhodes shot from the AEW star in response. Venis decided to choose violence (for himself) on Monday as he tweeted fairly out of the blue:
“Don’t get me started on MJF.”
MJF happened to notice the tweet and decided that instead of taking the time to compose his own response, he would just recycle the classic burial that Cody Rhodes delivered to Disco Inferno back in 2018. He shared a screenshot of the tweet, in which Rhodes told Inferno:
“Stop. You know nothing. You have drawn 0 dollars. No fan has ever left a show thinking about you. You were lucky to be a juiced up double-lifer “over with the boys” type in an era where you hid in plain sight coasting on others’ success. Couldn’t hang then, can’t get booked now.”
Rhodes’ original response was a quote tweet to Inferno complaining that “Nobody knows how to ‘work” anymore” in response to Rhodes having been bloodied from a kick by Kenny Omega during a match for NJPW.
For his part, Venis has largely become persona non grata in wrestling, due in part to his history of virulently transphobic and homophobic remarks. Venis has yet to respond to MJF’s post.
