As noted previously, WWE Superstar Ludwig Kaiser, AKA Marcel Barthel, was arrested on charges of battery last night in Orlando, Florida.

Later, PWInsider and Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported that the incident is not related to domestic abuse and that Kaiser was able to get a bail following a $1,000 bond.

An affidavit filed in Orange County, Florida, [accessed by PWInsider] has unearthed more details about the case. According to the document, Orlando police responded to reports of a physical confrontation on the 12th floor of an apartment complex at around 6:37 p.m. on April 23.

The complainant, identified as Richard Reap, alleged that he entered a public elevator at 6:30 p.m. Reap claimed that he saw Ludwig Kaiser with an unidentified woman in an “uncontrollably intimate” manner inside it.

After exiting the elevator on the 12th floor, Reap allegedly told the couple to “please have some manners.” The affidavit notes that Kaiser immediately punched Reap multiple times, shoving him into the ground, and threatening more violence.

The responding officer observed a fresh scratch and redness on the back of Reap’s head, which the cops believed was in line with the recent physical confrontation.

The responding officers reviewed the surveillance footage, which showed a white male punching and pushing Richard Reap outside the elevator at the alleged time of incident. The footage has yet to be released.

The police officers later identified Ludwig Kaiser as the suspect. The affidavit further notes that Reap identified Kaiser in a six-person photographic lineup later that evening.

Kaiser was subsequently charged under Florida Statute 784.03 (1) (A), with the warrant noting that there were no allegations involving weapons, firearms, intoxication, or shared residency between the two parties.

As previously noted, Kaiser surrendered on May 20 after the warrant was issued. He has been reportedly ordered to have no contact with victims or eyewitnesses. The WWE Superstar has been granted one supervised return to his apartment in the company of law enforcement officers.

WWE has yet to comment on the matter.
