Omos Helps El Hijo del Vikingo Dethrone Dr. Wagner Jr. as AAA Latin American Champion at Noche de Los Grandes 2026

El Hijo del Vikingo is the new AAA Latin American Champion. The former Mega Champion defeated El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. at tonight’s AAA Noche de Los Grandes.

The back-and-forth match saw Omos making his presence felt in deceptive fashion. The Nigerian Giant stormed down the ring and pulled Wagner Jr. off the top rope, paving the way for Vikingo to hit a 450 Splash. However, Wagner kicked out.

Wagner’s brother, Galeno, attacked Omos from behind before the giant fought back. However, Galeno responded with a chair attack. After Vikingo took out Galeno, Mini Vikingo appeared out of nowhere and hit a Springboard Dropkick on the former Mega Champion.

However, that didn’t get the job done for Wagner. In the end, Omos fended off Galeno and then knocked out Wagner Jr. with a massive right hand. Vikingo did the rest, as he executed a 630 to secure the pinfall and the title. Wagner Jr.’s reign ends at 288 days. He captured the title from El Mesias at AAA Triplemania XXXIII last August. Meanwhile, this is El Hijo del Vikingo’s first reign as the Latin American Champion.
