During a recent interview with No-Contest Wrestling, TNA Wrestling star AJ Francis addressed the recent surprising exit of Tommy Dreamer as TNA’s creative lead. Below are some highlights (via WrestlingInc.com):
AJ Francis on Tommy Dreamer Leaving TNA Wrestling
“If it wasn’t for Tommy Dreamer, there wouldn’t be no TN-AJ Francis. At the end of the day, Tommy is a grown man, and I talked to him today, he’s going to be fine. That’s the way this business goes. There’s ebbs and flows. Two years ago, when Scott [D’Amore] was let go, people thought TNA was going to be done then, and we’re not.”
On People Who Claim to Love Dreamer Now That He’s Leaving
“The same people who for the last three, six months have been talking bad about Tommy, ‘The creative!’ ‘Tommy this’ and ‘Tommy that.’ Then, Tommy has to leave and now all of a sudden you all love Tommy.”
AJ Francis will be in action this weekend at TNA Slammiversary 2026. He will face Elijah in a singles bout. TNA Slammiversary 2026 is scheduled for Sunday, June 28.
