WWE Night of Champions is just two days away, and a new report has details on the current creative favorites for the matches on the show. Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select reports that a source familiar with future creative plans has revealed the current favorites to win their respective matches for a number of the bouts on the show.
According to the report, Cody Rhodes is the current favorite to win the Undisputed WWE Championship match against Gunther and Sami Zayn, while Trick Williams is expected to retain the WWE United States Championship against Ricky Saints. IYO SKY is the current creative favorite to defeat Liv Morgan in the Queen of the Ring Tournament finals.
The report notes that there is a “belief” that Tiffany Stratton will defeat Jade Cargill to retain the WWE Women’s United States Championship, though that is not as confident as the above matches. Multiple potential finishes have been discussed for Bron Breakker’s steel cage match with Seth Rollins, and there’s no word on the favorite for the King of the Ring finals between Oba Femi and Jey Uso.
WWE Night of Champions takes place on June 27th from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and airs live on ESPN Unlimited in the US and Netflix internationally. The first hour, featuring the King and Queen tournament finals, will simulcast on ESPN in the US.
