The ROH World Championship will be on the line when AEW Collision makes its return to Saturday night next weekend. AEW announced on Thursday’s episode of Collision that Bandido will defend the ROH World Title against Katsuyori Shibata on next weekend’s episode.
The match was set up after a promo from The Opps in which HOOK said Bandido had been on an impressive run, but not as impressive as Shibata who is on a 19 – 0 streak in ROH. HOOK said that match 20 would see Shibata become the champion. AEW confirmed the match after the segment.
Bandido has been ROH World Champion for 453 days, having won the title from Chris Jericho at AEW Dynasty 2025. He has defended the title 11 times in that timeframe.
The bout is the first announced for next week’s show, which takes place on July 11th and airs live from the Berglund Center in Roanoke, Virginia on TNT and HBO Max.
The Opps are focused on business, and @K_Shibata2022 knows exactly what he wants!
A shot at @bandidowrestler and the #ROH World Championship!
