CM Punk Puts WWE Title in Refrigerator Again Following Monday Night Raw

Newly crowned WWE Undisputed Champion CM Punk is at it again. During last night’s WWE Raw, Punk made a surprise return in his hometown of Chicago to win the WWE Undisputed Championship from Sami Zayn.

Following the show, Punk shared a photo on his Instagram, showing the title belt in his refrigerator once again. Fans will recall that CM Punk famously placed the WWE Title in a refrigerator and shared a photo of it after beating John Cena at WWE Money in the Bank, also in Chicago, way back in 2011. Now, Punk looks to be up to his old tricks.

Punk made a surprise return to the link last night on WWE Raw, replacing Cody Rhodes against Sam Zayn in the WWE Title bout. Earlier in the night, it was announced that Cody Rhodes was not cleared to compete. Punk was Rhodes’ surprise replacement.

Punk had been on hiatus from WWE TV since the post-WrestleMania 42 edition of Monday Night Raw.
