1) Daniel Cormier (22-1, 1 NC)
Birthday: March 20, 1979
Height: 5’9
Currently fighting with: UFC
Last 5 fights:
– vs. Derrick Lewis – Win via submission (rear naked choke) – UFC 230 – November 3, 2018
– vs. Stipe Miocic – Win via KO (punches) – UFC 226 – July 7, 2018

– vs. Anthony Johnson – Win via submission (rear naked choke) – UFC 210 – April 8, 2017
Next scheduled appearance:
– vs. Stipe Miocic – UFC 241 – August 17, 2019
Comment: After a fight with Brock Lesnar never materialized, Daniel Cormier has agreed to a rematch with former heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic. They will headline UFC 241 this summer as Cormier also eyes a third fight with Jon Jones and a shot at redemption as a light heavyweight.
2) Jon Jones (24-1, 1 NC)
Height: 6’4
Birthday: July 19, 1987
Currently Fighting With: UFC
Last 5 fights:
– vs. Anthony Smith – Win via decision (unanimous) – UFC 235 – March 2, 2019
– vs. Alexander Gustafsson – Win via KO (strikes) – UFC 232 – December 29, 2018
– vs. Daniel Cormier – No Contest (originally – Win via KO (punches)) – UFC 214 – July 29, 2017
– vs. Ovince St. Preux – Win via decision (unanimous) – UFC 197: Jones vs. OSP – April 23, 2016
– vs. Daniel Cormier – Win via decision (unanimous) – UFC 182: Jones vs. Cormier – January 3, 2015
Next scheduled appearance:
– vs. Thiago Santos – UFC 239 – July 6, 2019
Comment: Bones Jones is back, active and still arguably the best in the world. In spite of his drug test failures, legal issues and anything else you can toss in, there is no light heavyweight that can pose a legitimate challenge. He will defend his title against Thiago Santos in July as he continues picking apart any semblance of a challenger at 205-pounds. Jones does not seem interested in a move up to heavyweight in the near future and that third fight with Daniel Cormier would not offer much of a challenge for him although technically, he’s 1-0 with one no contest against him.
3) Khabib Nurmagomedov (27-0)
Height: 5’10
Birthday: September 20, 1988
Currently Fighting With: UFC
Last 5 fights:
– vs. Conor McGregor – Win via submission (rear naked choke) – UFC 229 – October 6, 2018
– vs. Al Iaquinta – Win via decision (unanimous) – UFC 223 – April 7, 2018
– vs. Edson Barboza – Win via decision (unanimous) – UFC 219 – December 30, 2017
– vs. Michael Johnson – Win via submission (kimura) – UFC 205 – November 12, 2016
– vs. Darrell Horcher – Win via TKO (strikes) – UFC on Fox: Teixeira vs. Evans – April 16, 2016
Next scheduled appearance:
– Unknown
Comment: While not yet official, logic points to Khabib’s return coming in September in Abu Dhabi and it could be a fight with interim champion Dustin Poirier. Nurmagomedov has been out of action since becoming champion and leaping into the crowd following the win over Conor McGregor in October. Ramadan does not end for another few weeks at which point, Nurmagomedov may begin a full training camp ahead of a late-summer return.
