Alex Oliveira Discusses His Huge Win Over Carlos Condit

Speaking to reporters in a media scrum after UFC on FOX 29 (via MMAjunkie), UFC fighter Alex Oliveira discussed his huge submission win over Carlos Condit. Below are some highlights from the scrum.

Alex Oliveira on securing the submission: “Yeah, he went to sleep, and I changed grips on him, and he woke up, and I had to finish it, so I went and tightened it again. And then he tapped.”

Oliveira on what was going on before this fight: “One of my aunts died as soon I got here. My uncle’s in the hospital. I don’t even know how he is, but you know, I had to come and fight.”

His thoughts on what’s next: “A week of rest, and then I’ll start training again, and I’ll be … training for the next one.”
