Belal Muhammad Wants a Rematch With Leon Edwards
At yesterday’s UFC Fight Night event, the main event between Leon Edwards and Belal Muhammad ended in a No Contest after an unintentional eye poke from Edwards caused the fight to get waved off. Following the bout, Muhammad shared a message on Twitter on the ending to the fight and asked Leon Edwards to run the fight back.
Belal Muhammad wrote, “My heart is shattered my first main event ended like that but Gods the best of planners im sorry to the fans and the @ufc you deserved a full fight. Alhamdillah the vision is coming back and no permanent damage to the eye I’ll be back and want to run it back @Leon_edwardsmma”
Muhammad was on a four-fight winning streak and was ranked No. 13 going into his fight with Edwards. Edwards had won seven in a row going into the bout, which was his first fight since July 2019.
