CM Punk’s UFC 225 Loss Overturned Due to Mike Jackson’s Positive Marijuana Test

The Straight Edge Society wins again (or at least doesn’t lose this time), as CM Punk’s UFC 225 loss has been overturned due to a positive marijuana test from his opponent. MMAjunkie reports that Mike Jackson tested positive for marijuna in a test administered during the night of the fight and thus Punk’s loss was overturned.

The overturning means that Punk’s UFC record 0-1-0 (1 NC). UFC 225 took place on June 9, 2018. A statement from Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation public information officer Chris Slaby to the site read:

“The official result of a full contact martial arts bout can be changed to a ‘no contest’ as an outcome of an adverse post-bout disciplinary finding against a contestant. As detailed in the consent order provided, Mr. Jackson tested positive for tetrahydrocannabinol due to marijuana following the June 9, 2018 UFC event at the United Center in Chicago.”
