Danny Roberts Hopes He Can Make Card Of UFC London Event

December 11, 2015 | Posted by Joseph Lee

In an interview with MMA Junkie, Danny Roberts (12-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) said that he hopes his submission win over Nathan Coy (14-6 MMA, 0-1 UFC) at last night’s UFC Fight Night 80 will be enough to get him on the upcoming UFC card in London. He won the fight in less than three minutes, giving him ten stoppage victories in his twelve overall wins. Here are highlights:

On how the fight went: “It couldn’t have went any better, to get a first round finish – I’m on top of the world. I’m somebody who came from nothing. I wasn’t meant to be rising. The response of people got me motivated. I want to give the people what they want to see and put on a show.”

On continuing his success: “I want to show the world that I’m here to shine. I’m fresh. I’m hoping the UFC get me a fight. We have UFC London coming up. … I’ve had a big of a break since my last fight with Cage Warriors, so I want to keep it going.”
