In an interview with MMA Junkie, Mark Diakiese (10-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) spoke about his second round TKO win over Lukasz Sajewski (13-3 MMA, 0-3 UFC) at UFC 204. Here are highlights:

On his ground game: “There was no frustration. People say my ground game is terrible, but I’m always standing and not on the ground. Today I think I showed (my ground game). I started attacking and going for his legs. But it is what it is. I’m looking improve all the time.”

On when he wants another fight: “(I want to return) as soon as possible – as soon as possible. Whatever UFC is willing to give me (is fine). I’m not here to make up numbers. I’m going to start working toward that world title. I’m going to keep working. I’m 23, and I’m still learning daily. I’ve got a lot to learn. I believe I’m going to be up there soon – very soon.”
