Bill Cosby Planning to Resume Touring in 2023

Believe it or not, Variety reports that Bill Cosby is planning to resume touring in 2023. Cosby said “yes” when asked about possibly touring in 2023 during an interview with WGH Talk.

“Yes,” Cosby said. “Yes, because there’s so much fun to be had in this storytelling that I do. Years ago, maybe 10 years ago, I found it was better to say it after I write it.”

He added that he believes audiences will find that he is still the Cosby of old.

“When I come out of this, I feel that I will be able to perform and be the Bill Cosby that my audience knows me to be,” he said.

Cosby was convicted in April of 2018 of criminal sex assault charges, but ended up being released in 2021 after serving three years in prison due to his conviction being overturned by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

Cosby’s representative, Andrew Wyatt, told Variety that Cosby is considering the spring/summer for his return to touring.

Cosby continues to face legal issues, as five women filed a new sexual assault lawsuit against him in New York earlier this month, claiming Cosby either raped them or forced them into sexual acts. Wyatt called the lawsuit “frivolous.”
