Creature Design For John Carpenter’s Cancelled Creature From the Black Lagoon Revealed

A new interview with John Carpenter features a still of a character design for his scrapped Creature From the Black Lagoon remake. Carpenter was famously set to remake the 1954 Universal horror classic during the 1990s, and was working with the legendary Rick Baker who offered an update of the original design. The film, which was inspired by another aborted remake of the movie, was eventually abandoned after Universal moved Carpenter to the ill-fated Village of the Damned remake.
