Dexter: Resurrection Series To Premiere In June, Says Showrunner
Dexter will return to life in June, with the showrunner for Dexter: Resurrection confirming the show’s premiere date. Clyde Phillips recently spoke with DiscussingFilm and confirmed that the show is set to premiere in June 2025, with a start to production on next month.
Phillips told the site, “We start shooting the first week in January, and it airs in June of 2025.“
The series will see Michael C. Hall reprising his role as Dexter Morgan, the serial killer in the eponymous Showtime series based on the novels by Jeff Lindsay. Hall played the character during the original show’s eight-season run and the revival series Dexter: New Blood. Dexter died at the end of the latter series; no word as of yet on how he will come back.
Showtime also has another series, Dexter: Original Sin which will tell the story of a young Dexter Morgan as he starts work as a forensics intern for the Miami Metro Police Department in 1991. That show, which stars Patrick Gibson and Christan Slater, premiered on Paramount+ today.
