Director Set For Netflix’s Beverly Hills Cop 4

Netflix has found a director for Eddie Murphy’s long-gestating Beverly Hills Cop 4. Deadline reports that Mark Malloy has been tapped to replace Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah at the helm of the sequel, which will see Murphy return to the role of Axel Foley.

El Arbi and Fallah exited the production recently so they could focus on their Batgirl film for Warner Bros. The fourth film in the Axel Foley franchise is still in development, with no production start date set.

Molloy is making his feature directorial debut with the anticipated film, having previously directed several short films. The film has long been in development and moved from Paramount to Netflix in 2019.
