True Blood Season 7

Get ready to head back to Bon Temps, because HBO is working on a reboot of True Blood. THR reports that the team of Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Riverdale and Jami O’Brien (NOS4A2) are developing another go at the vampire series.

The site reports that the project is still in early development but notes that Alan Ball, who created the original, is returning as an EP. Details are under wraps, though at this point none of the original cast is set to return.

The series ran for seven seasons on HBO from 2008 to 2014 and starred Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, Alexander Skarsgard, Joe Manganiello, Sam Trammel, Rutina Wesley, Ryan Kwanten, Nelsan Ellis, Jim Parrack, and Deborah Ann Woll. Based on Charlaine Harris’ The Southern Vampire Mysteries novels, the book was set in a world where humans are aware of the existence of vampires, who are a part of regular society. Paquin played Sookie Stackhouse, a telepathic waitress who falls in love with a reluctant vampire Bill Compton.
