James Gunn Gives Update On Peacemaker Season Two Filming

The second season of Peacemaker has reached the halfway point of filming, according to James Gunn. Gunn posted to his Threads account to reply to a fan asking about the show’s production status, noting of the filming:
“Just over half [done]. It’s a beast.”
The show’s second run began filming over the summer. John Cena is back as the titular character and will be joined by Frank Grillo, who will play Rick Flag Sr., the leader of the original Task Force X. Gunn wrote and is directing the second season, which will follow up on the events of season one.
The new season will be eight episodes and is set to premiere on Max in 2025.
