James Wan Confirms That His Next Film Won’t Be Aquaman 2

Director James Wan confirmed during a press junket interview with CinemaBlend for Annabelle Comes Home that his next film will not be Aquaman 2. Aquaman 2 already has a set release date of December 16th, 2022.
“I think I kind of know,” said Wan. “It won’t be AQUAMAN 2 just yet. I have something else I’m cooking up. I’m not ready to share just yet.”
Wan is pretty busy, not only with Annabelle Comes Home, but also three films he is producing — The Curse of La Llorona, the Mortal Kombat reboot, and The Trench.
