Jessica Rothe Says There’s A Story In Place For Happy Death Day 3

In an interview with ScreenGeek, actress Jessica Rothe confirmed that there is a story planned for the third entry in the Happy Death Day franchise. The time-bending slasher series promised another movie after Happy Death Day 2U, but that film underperformed compared to the original. As a result, there hasn’t been a new entry in five years.

Rothe said: “Well, I can say Chris Landon has the whole thing figured out. We just need to wait for Blumhouse and Universal to get their ducks in a row. But my fingers are so crossed. I think Tree [Gelbman] deserves her third and final chapter to bring that incredible character and franchise to a close or a new beginning.“
