Jessie Eisenberg Would Love to Play Lex Luthor Again

While there are currently no known plans for Lex Luthor to show up in the DCEU again, Jessie Eisenberg says he’s game for another go. Eisenberg, who played the role in Batman V Superman and a post-credits stinger in Justice League, spoke with InThePanda in France and was asked about potentially returning to the role.

“Oh yeah, I would love to,” he said when asked if he would like to reprise the role. “Because it’s such a cool character. You know, I mean, to play like a villain in a superhero movie is the fun part. The good guys are fine, but the villain is the fun part, because they get to be a little bit more flamboyant. Of course, the hero usually gets to, you know, survive. But the villain has all the funny lines. I don’t know about the first part, but the second part is something that I can be involved in, sure.”

Following the negative reception to BvS and the financial failure of Justice League, plans for a follow-up to the latter were shelved. At this point there’s no indication that Lex will appear any time soon. But you never know if he might pop up for a cameo in another DC film down the line.
