A new Jurassic Park animated series is coming to Netflix next year. DreamWorks Animation and Netflix officially announced today the new upcoming animated series, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous. The show debuts on Netflix in 2020. You can check out the new series teaser trailer in the player below.

The new animated TV series is being executive produced by Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall, Colin Trevorrow, Scott Kreamer and Lane Lueras, with Kreamer and Lueras serving as the showrunners. Zack Stentz will be working on the show as a consulting producer.

The new TV series is said to be set against the timeline of the 2015 movie Jurassic World. The show is based on the billion-dollar film franchise from Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment. Here’s a synopsis:

Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous follows a group of six teenagers chosen for a once-in-a-lifetime experience at a new adventure camp on the opposite side of Isla Nublar. But when dinosaurs wreak havoc across the island, the campers are stranded. Unable to reach the outside world, they’ll need to go from strangers to friends to family if they’re going to survive.

After NBCUNiversal’s acquisition of DreamWorks Animation, DWA and Netflix expanded their relationship to include first looks at animated shows based on Universal properties and original and acquired IP. DWA has a number of other shows that will debut on the streaming service this year, including Archibald’s Next Big Thing from executive producer Tony Hale and an animated series based on Fast & Furious.
