Kevin Feige confirmed the obvious in a new interview: Marvel will be making a Black Panther sequel. Feige spoke with EW for a new interview hyping the upcoming release of Avengers: Infinity War and said that plans are definitely in the mix.

When asked about a possible sequel, Feige said, “Nothing specific to reveal, other than to say we absolutely will do that. One of the favorite pastimes at Marvel Studios is sitting around on a Part One and talking and dreaming about what we would do in a Part Two. There have been plenty of those conversations as we were putting together the first Black Panther. We have ideas and a pretty solid direction on where we want to head with the second one.”

The move is not surprising at all, of course. Black Panther is not only the best-reviewed film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe yet; it is also well on its way to becoming the most successful financially in North America with $520.9 million domestically and is almost certain to pass The Avengers’ $623.4 million final domestic total. The characters from Panther will next be seen in Infinity War.
