The Rugrats franchise is heading to the big screen in live action/animated hybrid form. Deadline reports that the 1990s Nickelodeon cartoon is getting a live-action/CGI film with Jason Moore (Pitch Perfect) set to direct.

The film comes from a script by Mikey Day and Streeter Seidell. Plot details have yet to be revealed for the movie, which brings the Arlene Klasky, Gábor Csupó and Paul Germain-created franchise to life.

Rugrats began life in 1991 on Nickelodeon and ran until 2004. Three animated films hit the big screen: 1998’s The Rugrats Movie, 2000’s Rugrats in Paris: The Movie, and 2003’s Rugrats Go Wild. They grossed a combined $299.6 million worldwide against a combined budget of $79 million.
