Man Flying Glider in New York City Causes Green Goblin to Trend
It appears all we need to get a Spider-Man supervillain at this point is an experimental formula, as a man was seen flying a glider Green Goblin-style through New York City. Green Goblin was trending on social media after Morgan Nevins’ private Instagram posted the video, which depicts an unknown man flying through the busy city as people gawked at him.
That led to a host of people commenting about the man and the similarities to the Goblin, as you can see from a selection of tweets below. The original Green Goblin is of course Norman Obsorne, who was brought to life by Willem Defoe in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man. Dane DeHaan played the Harry Osborne version of Green Goblin in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
The character has yet to make his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe yet, though there have been unconfirmed rumors that Dafoe will be reprising the role — much like Alfred Molina and Jamie Foxx will for Doc Oc and Electro — in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
