Mortal Kombat II Trailer Teased With Faux Johnny Cage Trailer

The trailer for the upcoming Mortal Kombat sequel, Mortal Kombat II, debuts tomorrow. And Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema are getting the hype train ready with a faux trailer for a Johnny Cage movie, “Uncaged Fury,” featuring Karl Urban as Johnny Cage. You can check out the trailer for the fictional film-within-a-film below, riffing on cheesy 1980s and 1980s action flicks.
Mortal Kombat II is directed by Simon McQuoid from a script by Jeremy Slater and will continue after events of the previous 2021 live-action reboot. Urban joins the cast as Johnny Cage.
The actual trailer for Mortal Kombat II debuts tomorrow (July 17). The upcoming sequel hits theaters and IMAX on October 24.
