Police and prosecutors are reportedly butting heads over the latest developments in the Harvey Weinstein rape case. TMZ reports that sources in law enforcement are refuting the allegations from prosecutors that the lead detective in the cast told one of Weinstein’s alleged victims to delete information from her phone that would be relevant in the case.

According to the sources, Nicholas DiGaudio only told the victim that she could do whatever she wanted with “intimate” things on her phone, including pics that could be embarrassing, before giving it to investigators. DiGaudio assrts that he has “no recollection” of assertions he told the woman that “we just won’t tell [the assistant D.A.]” about the deleted content.

Prosecutors still plan on moving ahead with the charges in the case against Weinstein.
