Peacock Renews Ted For Season Two
Seth McFarlane’s Ted series is getting a second season on Peacock. THR reports that the comedy series was reupped for a second run late last week.
The series, which is a prequel to McFarlane’s two hit comedy films, was originally supposed to be a one-and-done event series but the show’s success led to NBCUniversal to make it an ongoing series. The show premiered in January with decent numbers and became the top streaming comedy series in the US for about two months, as well as Peacock’s most-watched original series thus far.
The show is described as follows:
Ted is set in 1993, eight years after John (Max Burkholder) wished for his teddy bear to come to life for Christmas. Ted’s moment of fame has passed, but he and the now 16-year-old John are still best friends and bad influences on each other.
