Sigourney Weaver in Talks to Join The Mandalorian & Grogu Film

Sigourney Weaver is in talks to join the Star Wars universe with the The Mandalorian & Grogu movie. THR reports that Weaver is in discussions to sign on for a role in the film, which will be the first Star Wars movie since Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in 2019.

Plot details are not yet clear on the film, nor what role Weaver would play. Pedro Pascal is expected to return as Din Djarin, reprising his role from the Disney+ series The Mandalorian. Jon Favreau will direct the film which is expected to go into production later this year.

The Mandalorian has run for three seasons and spawned spinoffs The Book of Boba Fett and Ahsoka, the latter of which has a second season in the works.
