Sony Sets 2025 Release Date For 28 Years Later

Sony has announced a 2025 release date for the long-gestating 28 Years Later. THR reports that the studio has set the third film in the 28 Days Later franchise for June 20th, 2025.

As previously reported, Danny Boyle and Alex Garland are reuniting for the film, which will follow the events of 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later. Garland is writing the new trilogy with Boyle directing the first film. Nia DaCosta was reported in April as being in talks to direct the second film. Each film is reportedly set to have a a budget in the area of $60 million.

Plot details are still not known for the films.
