South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker are basking in the glow of their $900 million deal with ViacomCBS, and they may use some of that for a real-life Tegridy Farms weed business. As reported last week, Stone and Parker signed a new deal with nearly a billion dollars for several more seasons of the animated series along with 14 original South Park movies to air on Paramount+. Now, speaking with Bloomberg, the duo say that they’re looking to invest it in new enterprises including a deepfake movie, a horror franchise, and a marijuana business named after Randy Marsh’s hemp manufacturer and weed company.

Stone told the site when asked about the biggest change in their life now that they’ve signed the deal, “We’ve been rich for a long time. We have nice houses and cars. Even this giant deal won’t change my day-to-day. I’m not going to buy a new watch. We’re a media company. We use the proceeds from this to invest. These are multi-year projects we invested a bunch of money in. We have a South Park 3D video game, release date unknown. We’re doing deep fakes. We have a studio with a dozen people who are deep fake artists. We’re working on a little more of this deep fake movie we’re trying to piece together.”

He continued, “We have a horror movie. A musical. I think we’re really for the first time going to bring Tegridy Weed into real life. We are gunning for this restaurant that’s just been abused in Colorado. It’s Trey’s dream to revamp Casa Bonita.”

Tegridy Farms began in the show’s 22nd season with the episode of the same name. The episode poked fun at the rise in vaping as well as marijuana legalization, with Randy convinces Sharon to move out to a cannabis farm he bought and named Tegridy Farms (a play on integrity). Tegridy Farms has become a semi-regular location since, appearing in 13 episodes thus far and most recently the season 24 opener “The Pandemic Special” in September of 2020.
