Warner Bros. Discovery Announces Post-Split Names, Leadership Teams

Warner Bros. Discovery has announced the details of their split as they spin off their TV properties from their studios and streaming services. As announced in June, the company is splitting into two different companies, the first being focused on streaming and studios and the second on their global networks including all their TV channels in the US, Discovery, free-to-air channels in Europe and more.

The company sent out a press release to 411 on Monday announcing the details of the split. The Streaming and Studios company will be officially dubbed Warner Bros., and will be headed by currend WBD President and CEO David Zaslav. Meanwhile, the global networks company will be known as Discovery Global and will be headed by Gunnar Wiedenfels, who is currently the CFO of WBD.

The split will take place in mid-2026 and the leadership teams for each company are:
