411’s WWE RAW Report 5.26.14
Championship Roll Call:
Undisputed WWE World Champion: Daniel Bryan
US Champion: Sheamus
IC Champion: Bad News Barrett
Unified Diva’s Champion: Paige
WWE World Tag Team Champions: The Usos
We dedicate this edition of RAW to Murica, and the many men and women we have lost their lives so that we can say things like “Cena Sucks” and the like. Thank you.
We are at the University of Tennessee, and everyone anxiously awaits the presence of The Authority. They are here with smiles, and wave at the peasants as they make their way down to the ring. Steph feels great about tonight, because it’s all about choices. For example, Daniel Bryan has a choice of whether or not he will do the right thing and surrender the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. It’s the right thing to do, y’all, and Bryan knows it.
IT WAS HIS SLED!!!!
Steph says Bryan physically cannot do it. His heart is there, his mind is there…he wants to be our champion, and said we are the reason why he is champ, but unfortunatley, his body is a B+. She knows that Bryan, in spite of wanting to do all the right things, he must surrender the title. Triple H is sure Bryan doesn’t want to, he simply can’t compete right now. Like Steph said, tonight is about choices. Every generation has performers that rise to the top – that become superstars. Some burn out and become a flash in the pan like Bryan. Then there are those that become legends. They become legends because they stand the test of time. Month after month, year after year, gernation after generation – they remain dominant because of their ability to adapt. The ones that don’t – like a Daniel Bryan – they just perish. The ones that last to become legends live forever and that is Evolution.
Nice segue, Trips.
This Sunday, at Payback, The Shield will find out that they cannot stop Evolution. Tonight, The Shield will have a choice. They can adapt and decide not to show up at Payback and go on to become legends, hopefully. Or they can sign, and perish. Steph brings up the matter of the General Manager of RAW, Brad Maddox. She calls out Brad. He heads down the ramp into the ring, looking more and more like the oldest son from The Middle. Triple H brings up last week when he allowed Orton and Batista to take roles that were best for business, but Maddox made a choice that was…not best for business. He allowed The Shield. Why?
Maddox says he was forced. Steph shushes him. Apparently, Maddox was roughed up and wound up in the trainer’s room, and felt like he didn’t have a choice, but it appears that they – The Authority – feels like they don’t have a choice.
The fire of Kane emits from the ramp, and Steph gives the ol “well, shit happens.” Triple H sucker punches Maddox, and in comes Kane. Steph tells Kane to teach Maddox a lesson. Kane hits him with a chokeslam. Tombstone to finish it off. Wouldn’t this work better if we cared about Maddox?
Steph wants the lights up and the music to stop. She has one more thing to say to Maddox….”You’re Fired.”
We are back, and and Bo Dallas will be debuting on RAW tonight. Not to be confused with Debuting, on RAW, tonight.
In the ring, Cesaro awaits his opponent. It’s RVD, and he is sure to watch his back before heading down to the ring.
Before the match starts, Bad News Barrett is here. It’s officially the first day of Summer…but he’s afraid he’s got some…bad news! Summer is a time where people realize just how fat they are. Even better than that, your precious RVD is going to discover that his Indian Summer is well and truly over and he will still be our Intercontinental Champion.
Cesaro takes advantage of a distraction and atacks RVD quickly, including a nice toss after some news. BNB mocks DDP over by JBL. Leg Scissors pin by RVD gets a 1. He follows it by a kick and starts hitting some soft rights to Cesaro. Cesaro is able to gutwrench and toss RVD over his shoulder. Cesaro with an uppercut in the corner. Cesaro with the boot in the corner to RVD. Whip to the corner, goes for an uppercut, but RVD with an elbow and a thrust kick. He hits the ropes then clotheslines RVD over the top rope. RVD decides to hop over the rope, and go for a standing moonsault, but Cesaro is so bad ass that he catches him and drops RVD on the barricade. Cesaro with a toss into the barricade as we go for a break.

A pretty good match considering RVD has typically signed onto the “go through the motions” school of thought.
RATING: **1/2
After the match, Sheamus heads down the ramp to his music and runs into the ring. BROGUE KICK to Cesaro!
Teddy Long comes out…and we got a TAG TEAM MATCH, PLAYA!!

Backstage, Orton and Batista are having a conversation. The Rhodes Brothers come in and say they weren’t on the show last week, or this week so they are putting out an open challenge to any tag team. Orton brings up getting Cody fired. Cody says he remembers that, but he also remembers beating The Shield. Orton says he’s happy they followed that momentum. Cody gets a great dig saying in 10 years, Orton has gone from Triple H lacky to Trple H lacky, then calls Batista a skinny-jeaned sellout and RK-Blow.
In comes Triple H to say that they’ll get a match tonight against Orton and Batista, and it will be “interesting.” Batista scoffs at the notion that he’s a skinny-jeaned sellout and Triple H makes him feel better: “Ya got big legs…”

He sends him flying high, but Torito comes down with an arm drag. He hits the ropes and flips into Drew’s arms again. Drew drops him to the mat then crawls towards him. In the trainer’s room, Los Matadores are—-fuck this.
The Wyatt’s are here!
Bray is seated, and he starts the promo with the song.
Never, ever, have those words been more true than they are right now. I truly got the whole world in my hands. You see, the world has come to lean on me, and they lean on me cuz they know somewhere deep down, I only want what’s best for all of you. The problem with that is, sometimes what is best is not the easiest past. In this life, we all must make sacrifices. Most don’t know it, but we do it every day. We work and break our backs to feed our children, and sulk and suffer while another man tells us who to be and how to act. When are you going to understand that all of that is pointless. The poison has already set in, and we all know the only way to cure a snake bite is with the anti-venom, so what say you…is he the snake? Or is he the cure? I know what role I must play in this world. I am the necessary evil that this world so badly needs, and in the end – in the end – if you are my brother or sister, you will stand right beside me. But if you are my enemy, you will fall at my feet, and I think we all understand that JOhn Cena is an enemy to us all. Don’t you worry, though, because at Payback, I will be the last man standing.
Why should Cena be the only man punished in all this corruption? That’s not right. To get to the king, you must first go through the pawns. Cena is the king. And speaking of Kings…Mr. Jerry Lawler, may I have a word with you, please? I don’t bite.
Lawler says no, Wyatt confirms and calls it unfortunate. Wyatt sends Rowan and Harper towards King. Wyatt wants to have a talk. Wyatt tells JBL not to go play hero. JBL drops the headset, and looks to head into the ring, but Harper with a right hand! Rowan grabs JBL and tosses him right into a clothesline from Harper! King stands. Wyatt asks for a conversation, that’s all he wants. King heads into the ring.
Wyatt sets up a chair and asks King to have a seat. He just has a few questions. It’s safe to say that King and Cena are very good friends, right? Wyatt is sure they are. It’s also safe to say that King helped John Cena obtain goals. How? Because for years, King has sat in that seat and fed everyone how good a man Cena is. Never once did King question Cena’s morality. ANd now it’s too late – does King feel guilty about that? How does it feel to be a liar, Jerry? Asks Wyatt. Did King really think he was just going to get away with all of this? Wyatt is very sorry that it had to be King, but this is the necessary evil he has been talking about. The Fam lifts Jerry, and Bray looks to set up for Sister Abigail. Here’s Cena! He atacks ROwan and Harper. Wyatt has King in his grasp. Harper and Rowan start a beat down on Cena. They lift him up and hold his eyes open. haha. Wyatt says that at Payback, he is going to hurt John Cena, but right now….he wants Cena to watch his friend fall and understand that this is all his fault. Wyatt lifts King and sets up for Sister Abigail.
THE USOS are here! They clear the ring with John Cena! Cena removes his shirt so you know it’s real. He asks for a mic as the Wyatt Family head up the ramp. Enough is enough, says Cena. Cena says Wyatt just crossed some serious lines. When Wyatt first got here, everyone was excited. He was intriguing, charismatic, and when he speaks, people listen but does he even listen to himself? He just said he was a God. Lincoln once said if you want to test a man’s character, you give him power. Wyatt has had a taste of it, and it has made him sick. Look at what he just tried to do. Because an innocent man doesn’t think the way he does, you try to eliminate him? That’s not a necessary evil – it’s just plain evil. Cena believes in who he is and what he does. He beleives whether the family likes it or not, Wyatt needs to be stopped. It’s not about losing or winning come Payback, it’s about being the last man standing. Wyatt has accused Cena of living a lie and attacked his resolve, and now he wants to punish people for what they believe in? At Payback, Cena brings the justice. Bray Wyatt, Justice may be blind but for him, Payback will be a bitch. #WEAKSAUCE
King and Cole talk about JBL, saying he’s shooken up. This is interrupted by the music of…wait…who?! ZACK RYDER?! He comes out with an American Flag….oooooooh, does this mean Lana?
IT DOES! Ryder is cut off mid-promo by the music of Lana. Typical Americans, she says, always dwelling on past glories. To forge an elite society, there must be an aggressive vision, just like Putin. Those who are not willing to move forward are simply embarrassing patriots and will require disciplinary action to the highest level. Compliance with Mother Russia and her super athelete is not a choice, it’s our futre. Behold our destiny. Rusev calls Ryder a dirty girl on the mic then heads down the ramp.
Ryder ducks a go behind and hits some chops, then the ropes. Rusev splashes him with his chest against th ropes then beats down on the head of Ryder over and over. Lana calls for Rusev. Rusev stops and turns. Lana says to Crush.

We’re back from break, and JBL is back apparently. He sells the severity of the clothesline and quips that he had to come back to save the show. Bo Dallas is here, and he Tebows in the ring. Perfectly average match…
RATING:**
Bo runs around the ring, very proud, seemingly. He grabs the mic. Thank you so much, he says, to all of his Bolievers. He couldn’t have done it without us. The truth is, we don’t get satisfaction from just victories. You also get it from effort. If you gave it your all, and everything you got – you’re already a winner. All you have to do is Bolieve. He goes to shake the hand of Sin Cara, and hugs him, telling him he did good. haha.
Stephanie McMahon is back out here. She calls out Bryan, and here he is! Neckbraced and Champion-laden. Steph says it’s nice to see him doing so well. She could just strip him of the title, but to do so would make him a martyr, and people cheer for him enough. With that being said, all kidding aside, it’s really important for us to hear why he knows giving up the belt is the right decision. He must do the right thing for us, not for her. Bryan says that Steph is right and that his neck is worse than we thought. He references how easily Kane was ordered to attack Maddox, which means Steph is a liar. He knows there is no shame in dropping the belt, recuperating, and coming back better than ever. Steph says she will give him an opportunity, she promises, and he can do this all over again. He mockingly says he would love that. He says that these people deserve an awesome WWE World Heavyweight Champ, but Steph tried to put this on Bryan. This isn’t about Bryan, it’s about Steph. She has wanted to strip him of the title ever since Mania. If he gave her the title, he’d have given up on the people and on himself and this would have all been for nothing. If he handed it back right now, it would be throwing it all back in our faces.
Bryan is going to tell Steph a word that she is not used to hearing. Probably have never heard it since she was a kid. You want the title back? The answer is….NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! She was afraid that Bryan was going to let his ego cloud common sense. She didn’t bring this up before, because she wanted to be extra sensitive, but two weeks ago while Bryan was being loaded into an ambulance, Brie put her hands on Steph. She has video proof. Steph says you just can’t do that, and for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Therefore, Bryan has one more chance to do the right thing. This Sunday, at Payback, Bryan must decide to either give up the title or if Brie is fired. Well, that’s an easy choice, right?

This wil be the last time we will see The Shield, ever, on Monday Night RAW. It’s a shame, they could have had it all. He’s a fair judge of talent. Orton and Batista are proof. He remembers looking at The Shield, watching the ink dry on the contract that allowed them to come here and live their dream. He remembers thinking they’ve got it, they’re going to change it all. They are the future…and they threw it all away. Now he’s going to stand here, watch the ink dry on the contract that will send them right back into obscurity. He will ask one more time…are they sure they want to sign that?
